My students completed their narrative brainstorms in class this week! They turned out really well. I was pleasantly surprised at their creativity! Below is a preview of the narrative, which can be purchased for $3 at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Adrienne-Boone

4th Grade Narrative Brainstorm Name_____________________
1. My narrative is: (circle one) fiction non-fiction
2. My narrator is
_________________________________ (write down his/her name or say if it
is a 3rd
person, unknown narrator. )
3. Draw a picture of your main
characters below (just a quick sketch is fine!). Underneath each picture, write
down 4 or 5 characteristics of that character. These should be more about their
personalities than their looks.
4. Draw your story setting, which is both time and place. If there are multiple
settings than just explain each in a sentence or two. This should also be a
quick sketch!
5. Explain your main plot events down here (briefly). You
may use bullet points! The plot events need to be in a logical order.
Hint:
Interesting plots have a conflict, or problem, of some sort. Are your
characters
quarreling? Is nature causing problems for your character(s)? Add
drama! Also
explain how your main conflict gets solved!
